Melbourne Symphony Orchestra: Summer Symphony: Bunjil Place

29 January @ 10:00 am - 9:30 pm AEDT

Bunjil Place is at the heart of the City of Casey in Melbourne’s south-east, and with an outdoor community plaza, theatre, multipurpose studio, function centre, library and gallery it hosts shows of all types, for all ages young and old. On 29 January the MSO moves in: from 10am its Jams for Juniors workshop will take pre-school aged children (and their parents) through Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, and then at 7:30pm the Summer Symphony concert sees the sounds of well-loved favourites by Mozart, Beethoven and more float through the air. At just $5 for Jams for Juniors and $10 for the concert, it’s an affordable and family-friendly day of music.

Limelight Editor’s Choice

MSO Principal Conductor in Residence Benjamin Northey conducts excerpts and short works from much-loved music, including familiar tunes from Aaron Copland, Astor Piazzolla and Johann Strauss II, plus contemporary classics, in a relaxed family-friendly concert at Bunjil Place in Narre Warren.

Whether you’re a lover of orchestras or brand new to classical music, these concerts will be a fun and engaging way to experience the magic of the MSO live in concert.
