After being affected by COVID restrictions over the last two past, the Sydney Chamber Music Festival returns to Manly Art Gallery & Museum for two days in October. Founded in 2008, the boutique festival is the brainchild of Australian-Swiss flautist and teacher. This year’s event, which is entitled Revival, features four programs including Footprint, a poem paying homage to our land, which uses cardboard puppets, the world premiere of Jim Coye’s Cryptozoologica, which takes young children on an interactive adventure, a celebration of music by female composers performed by Acacia Quartet, and a program of dance music from English Renaissance to Spanish tango.
