In 2018, Christian Li made history at the Yehudi Menuhin Competition in Geneva when he became the youngest ever winner of the Junior First Prize. At the tender age of ten, he came equal first with 11-year-old Chloe Chua from Singapore when he played Summer from Vivaldi’s much-loved Four Seasons , while she played Winter .

In 2020, the Melbourne-based Australian-Chinese violinist made history again when he was nabbed by Decca Classics, becoming the prestigious label’s youngest ever signing.  

“Christian’s musicianship and technical mastery of his instrument at such a young age is truly astounding, and all of us at Decca look forward to supporting him on the exciting journey ahead,” said Executive Producer at Decca Classics, Helen Lewis, at the announcement.
