Emerging Composers

Three unique projects will take place in March and April 2022 that embrace the heart of Indigenous, experimental and contemporary music-making in Australia. The projects create exciting conditions of exploration in an attempt to dissolve boundaries imposed by conventional thinking. Inarma Choir will travel from Titjikala Community in the Northern Territory to Adelaide for concerts at the Art Gallery of South Australia and a recording of two new works commissioned through the ABC Classic Commissioning Fund at ABC Studio 520.

Summers Night Project (SNP) supports and mentors emerging Australian composers who identify as women to create new works, touring across three states, with the aim of growing the gender diversity of composers in Australia.
