What in your mind distinguishes Music on the Terrace from other concert series?

Music on the Terrace sits like a jewel in the heart of Perth. The Ballroom at Government House is an exquisite venue and there is something special about coming into the city on a Sunday afternoon, to enjoy quality music in this intimate and glamorous setting. It’s a very social affair, with interval drinks and grazing platters included with your ticket. So for all these reasons, it’s a particularly delightful way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends and it fits snugly into the tapestry of the Perth arts calendar.

What considerations did you bear in mind when putting together your first program for Music on the Terrace?

I wanted to broaden the offering, musically and theatrically. Quality and variety is important to me, which is why I have an exceptional line-up of musicians who will be performing in the series for the first time in 2020. I also love having fun, so you’ll find a whole array of events that will invite children back into the house, offer picnic hampers on the lawn and dancing in the ballroom… watch this space!
