3. What do you do to relax?

Have a bubble bath or lie on the couch rugged up with a blanket, watching a movie.

4. Most memorable musical experience as an audience member and why?

Last November I saw Anna Netrebko at the Metropolitan Opera singing the title role in Puccini’s Manon Lescaut. I was so blown away by her performance that I had to buy tickets to see her a second time. I felt truly fortunate to witness some world-class singing.

5. If you weren’t an opera singer, what would you be?

I would have loved to be a dancer, although my mum thinks I could have been an actress. When I was about four years old she caught me in my bedroom practising crying in front of...
