Musica Viva and Limelight editor Francis Merson host an afternoon of intimate chamber music and conversation.

Like good wine and cheese, violinist Anthony Marwood and pianist Aleksandar Madžar go really well together. Which is why Musica Viva is bringing them out for a national tour in November, and why Limelight is inviting you to join editor Francis Merson and the duo in conversation over high tea.

Following their November 10 matinee performance at Sydney’s City Recital Hall (featuring Debussy’s sumptuous Violin Sonata and the emotional rollercoaster of Beethoven’s Kreutzer), guests will head to the neighbouring Radisson Blu to meet the artists and enjoy an exquisite high tea.

“I’m honoured to present this event,” said Merson. “Since first meeting Anthony last year at the Trondheim Chamber Music Festival in Norway, we’ve had many enlightening discussions about all matters musical.

“Andrew’s collaboration with Aleksandar is an incredible meeting of minds that is absolutely electrifying to witness in concert,” he added. “I hope you can join us for a very special afternoon.”
