Affectionately known as ‘Frosty the Showman’, the impresario, who is currently co-producing Pippin, explains why classic musicals feature large in his life and work.

There wasn’t much music in the home when I was growing up though there was a radiogram in the corner. At the age of nine or 10 I bought a little record player. The first album I ever bought was Mary Poppins. I remember singing along to that. But it was never Sunday night around the record player with Mum and Dad singing, it was me in my bedroom in my little world of showtunes.
