The Australian Music Centre has announced the speakers for this year’s Peggy Glanville-Hicks Addresses. Audio conceptual artists Madeleine Flynn and Tim Humphrey will deliver the first of two Addresses this year, while vocalist, improviser, composer and educator Sunny Kim will deliver the second, with dates for both to be confirmed.

The annual address, named after ground-breaking Australian composer Peggy Glanville-Hicks, has been doubled this year as part of measures to support the industry announced by the Australian Music Centre earlier this month. Past speakers include Deborah Cheetham and Cat Hope.

The Australian Music Centre will also be commissioning 10 artists, ensembles or organisations to create online works – to be realised in 2020 – under the banner of the Peggy Glanville-Hicks Address. Each artist will receive a bursary of $1,000.
