Black Swan State Theatre Company of WA has announced that internationally renowned theatre director Kate Champion will be taking over the role of Artistic Director, and Ian Booth will be stepping into the role of Chief Executive Officer. This comes after Black Swan last year announced the departures of Artistic Director Clare Watson, who took over the position in 2016, and Executive Director Rick Heath, both of whom served as Co-CEO during their tenure.

Champion comes to the role with over 30 years of experience as a director and choreographer, ranging from theatre, musical theatre, opera, circus and film.
