The Canberra Symphony Orchestra (CSO) has announced the first recipients of the Kingsland Fellowship. The inaugural program offers workshops, masterclasses, recital performances and professional development programs.

Concertmaster Kirsten Williams, composer Katy Abbott, Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Jessica Cottis will work directly with the selected musicians throughout the program, which also offers a $1,200 scholarship, access to rehearsals, and complimentary tickets to CSO performances.

Its inaugural fellows are Mia Hughes, Enola Jefferis, Milan Kolundzija, Jackson Boyd and Vivienne Tran.

Violinist Mia Hughes has performed with the CSO, as well as the Australian Youth and Australian National University Orchestras.

Enola Jefferis is the cellist of the Wy Yung Quartet, selected to participate in the Regional Music Exchange program from Itet and the Melbourne Recital Centre, and has received mentorship from the Flinders Quartet.
