Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2022

Ensemble Q has announced its 2022 season, featuring seven programs across three venues plus one-off appearances in Sydney, Adelaide, Townsville and Bellingen.

The ensemble has also announced that it has been invited to perform as an Ensemble in Residence at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), in addition to its long-standing position as Ensemble in Residence at the Queensland Conservatorium and a return to Brisbane’s City Workshop.

The year opens with three performances as part of the ensemble’s Queensland Conservatorium Theatre Series. In February, Fantasias takes the audience on a journey spanning four centuries of music, from Purcell and Byrd to Kurtág and Saariaho. The contrast between eras and traditions is further highlighted by the contrast between winds and strings. This program will also be performed at UKARIA in Adelaide on 29 May.
