Sydney’s Ensemble Theatre has announced its 2022 season, featuring a number of new Australian works and world premieres. Now in its 64th year, Australia’s longest-running professional theatre company is debuting six new Australian works, a new adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and a Harold Pinter classic.

“[2022] will be a season of ten exceptional shows by the best Australian and international playwrights including two special events with theatre legends,” said Artistic Director Mark Kilmurry. “We’re elated to open our theatre so people can experience the thrill of live theatre again in a COVID-safe environment and enjoy eight plays with 44 of Australia’s finest actors.”

The season opens in April with Still Unqualified, Genevieve Hegney and Catherine Moore’s follow-up to their 2018 comedy Unqualified.
