The producers of Hamilton have announced that the smash-hit musical will return to the Sydney stage on 19 October, in line with the NSW Government’s roadmap, while producers in Victoria remain frustrated with a lack of clarity around the rules there.

The Michael Cassel Group announced this morning that tickets for Hamilton are currently available for performances until 20 December 2021. The musical ends its Sydney run on 27 February 2022 then moves to Her Majesty’s Theatre in Melbourne in March. Tickets for the final few weeks of the Sydney run will be released on Friday 1 October.

At this stage it is unclear when performances might return in Melbourne. Under the NSW roadmap, live performance venues can reopen with one person per four square metres or 75% fixed seated capacity once the state has 70% of its population aged 16 and over fully vaccinated, which the government projects will occur around 18 October.
