Limelight Arts Media, the publisher of Limelight, is excited to announce the launch of a new company, Limelight Arts Travel.

Limelight Arts Travel will offer a small range of cultural tours within Australia and abroad. Many of the tours will share Limelight’s focus on music and the performing arts, while others will investigate further into visual arts, architecture, history and archaeology.

Limelight Arts Travel

The program kicks off with a short tour to the Brisbane Festival in September 2022 and another to the Venice Biennale in October 2022. In 2023 around 15 tours will be offered, including the Mahler Festival in Leipzig, the Aix-en-Provence Festival and a tour focusing on Music in Venice.

The key features of a Limelight Arts Travel tour will include:

  • Carefully curated itineraries designed to appeal to travellers with a deep interest in history, the arts and music;
  • Tour leaders with genuine expertise, enthusiasm and experience, with the capacity to transform the travel experience;
  • Groups of no more than 20 like-minded travellers, with an average group size of 16-17.

Limelight Arts Travel will also offer online lectures, interviews and short courses on a range of topics. The online activities are enjoyable in themselves, and are also a great way to sample what the company has to offer without committing to a tour.

Limelight will not share details of our current subscribers and partners with Limelight Arts Travel. Although Limelight Arts Travel shares the Limelight name, it will function as a separate company so the editorial independence and integrity of Limelight is maintained.

Having published for over 45 years, Limelight has built a unique profile in the world of music, arts and culture. We are confident that this expansion into travel will build on our brand in a way that supports, showcases and serves our community – for the performers and organisations with whom we work, and the many thousands of lovers of the arts who read our online and print publication.
