The nation’s flagship ballet troupe kick-off World Ballet Day LIVE, featuring five top international companies.

Australian Ballet will join a dazzling roster of the world’s finest ballet troupes for 2015’s World Ballet Day LIVE – a 23-hour online broadcast that offers a rare glimpse into the inner workings of ballet’s greatest companies.

From 12:00pm until 5:00pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time) tomorrow, viewers can live-stream the behind-the-scenes broadcast from Australian Ballet’s Melbourne studios which will feature interviews with artistic director David McAllister, access to the company’s daily ballet class and a look at the next generation of great ballet talent from the Australian Ballet School, as well as guest performances by Bangarra Dance Theatre, the Royal New Zealand Ballet and the National Ballet of China.

Australian Ballet share the day-long online celebration of ballet with some seriously impressive company. The rest of the World Ballet Day LIVE broadcast will feature segments from Russia’s world famous Bolshoi Ballet, The Royal Ballet from London’s Covent Garden, The National Ballet of Canada and San Francisco Ballet.
