Chloe Lankshear has been chosen as the inaugural Taryn Fiebig Scholar – a new professional development program established by Pinchgut Opera in honour of the late Taryn Fiebigwho died in March.
Lankshear, a Canberra-born soprano, graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2020. She has already given impressive performances for Pinchgut Opera in the live concerts Messe de Minuitin December 2020 and Monteverdi’s Vespers in March 2021. She also appeared alongside Fiebig in Pinchgut’s smart, sophisticated opera film A Delicate Fire , released online in 2020.
On 4 August, she appears in a Pinchgut recital at the Bennelong, Sydney Opera House, as part of Bennelong Presents, in which she will sing songs by Henry Purcell, accompanied by Pinchgut Artistic Director Erin Helyard on harpsichord and Anton Baba on viola da gamba.
Lankshear has also performed with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Sydney Chamber Choir among other arts organisations, and has future engagements with Bach Akademie Australia and...
