Queensland Symphony Orchestra has announced a special gala concert at QPAC on 19 August to mark its 75th anniversary. Tickets are free and are now available via QSO’s website.

“Queensland Symphony Orchestra has a long and proud record of enriching our lives through music. This concert will be an exciting gift from Queensland Symphony Orchestra, presented to audiences as part of its 75th anniversary celebrations, and I encourage Queenslanders to embrace this opportunity to experience some musical magic performed by our world-class orchestra,” said Queensland Minister for the Arts Leeanne Enoch.

Celebrating QSO’s history and future, the program features favourites from the classical music canon, including the Act IV Finale from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Rákóczi March from Berlioz’s La Damnation de Faust
