Since its launch in 2006, Jazzahead has become an increasingly important meeting place for members of the jazz community. An international trade fair, conference and festival showcase, it takes place each year in Bremen, Germany, offering network opportunities for artists and promoters, booking agents and labels, publishers and programmers.

This year’s Jazzahead runs from 28 April to 1 May. Representatives from Sounds Australia and the Australian Music Centre will be on the ground in  Bremen. What’s more, the Australian Music Centre (AMC) – which is working to become more involved with the jazz and improvised communities – is offering $5,000 subsidies for Australian artists, arts administrators and music industry professionals who would like to attend.

The opportunity to attend the 2022 conference is offered as part of the AMC’s Australian Jazz in Europe Strategy, which is delivered in partnership with Sounds Australia and funded by the Australia Council for the Arts.
