Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2022

Queensland’s Sunshine Coast Chamber Music Festival has announced the lineup for its 2022 season. The newly launched festival held its inaugural season in 2021 with the aim of bringing chamber music to audiences in a contemporary context that reflects the communities across the Sunshine Coast, presenting classics of the repertoire alongside new works by contemporary Australian artists throughout the coastal towns of south Queensland.

“Our 2022 festival provides visitors with a range of unforgettable and inspiring experiences by programming a world-class line up of musicians and connecting them with the special places, people and the cultures of the Sunshine Coast region,” said SCCMF Artistic Director Lynne Bradley.

The festival begins in Maleny on Friday 17 June with a special joint Welcome to Country by Kabi Kabi Elder Aunty Helena Goulash, who is the festival’s First Nations Creative Director, and Jinibara artist Jason Murphy.
