The Sydney Conservatorium have announced the lineup for their fifth annual Jazz Festival, with 24 concerts featuring more than 100 performers to take place on Sunday 5 June – including a slew of overseas stars now that international borders have been flung open.
“The boutique festival is a celebration of jazz, one of humanity’s most vibrant and creative art forms,” said David Theak, the festival’s Artistic Director and a Senior Lecturer in Jazz Studies at The Con. “Jazz is an incredibly broad genre and we invite you to immerse yourself in the wide variety of music on offer in our unique, single-day festival.”
The strong overseas contingent includes the multi-Grammy award winning American drummer Eric Harland, UK saxophonist Will Vinson and Israeli guitarist Gilad Hekselman, who will headline the festival’s opening gala as Trio Grande 2.0. Also...
