Sydney Theatre Company and Little Eggs Collective were two of the big winners at the 2021 Sydney Theatre Awards.

On Monday night the Seymour Centre played host to almost 400 members of Sydney’s theatre community, who gathered for a ceremony that celebrated productions from across 2020 and 2021. Twenty-nine awards were presented to 18 different productions, demonstrating the depth and quality of work produced on Sydney stages despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

STC’s The Picture of Dorian Gray won four awards including Best Mainstage Production, Best Direction of a Mainstage Production (Kip Williams), Best Performance in a Leading Role in a Mainstage Production (Eryn Jean Norvill) and Best Stage Design of a Mainstage Production (Marg Horwell and David Bergman).
